Where our journey took us…

First Stop London

Highlights: Exploring the neighborhood of Marylebone, seeing a show at the Globe Theater and Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf) in the audience, napping in gardens and parks every afternoon, eating galettes in Greenwich, and market food from all over the world

Next to Cornwall for our Wedding Ceremony

Highlights: Becoming husband and wife in a beautiful ceremony, exploring the Cornwall coast, druid ruins, and Dartmoor National Park, spending time with Kate and Aaron, experiencing the magic of the Minack Theatre, soaking up the quaint charm of Cawsand Bay, discovering Justin’s Pilgrim ancestor's name in Plymouth, enjoying the beautiful wildflowers, having the best brunch with friends, and jumping into the cold sea for a refreshing swim.

From there…Paris, where we began our journey through France

Highlights: Frequenting local boulangeries (bakeries) for almond croissants and baguettes, exploring Impressionist masterpieces at the Musée d’Orsay, walking along the Seine and seeing the Eiffel Tower, enjoying delicious coffee and matcha made by the kindest baristas, thrift shopping at a local church market, lunch at a Japanese-French fusion restaurant, lounging in the Jardin du Luxembourg, visiting Notre-Dame de Paris, and singing Les Champs-Élysées

Next, we headed south to Provence

Highlights: Watching the sunset our terrace on a hilltop village of Gordes, the mysterious spring at Fontaine de Vaucluse, swimming in a waterfall in the Verdon Gorge, fresh cherries picked from a tree, meandering through open air markets, dinners of local cheese and meats, the ochre hills of Roussillon, exploring Saint-Rémy and the asylum where Van Gogh painted, driving past fields of poppies

And then the French Riviera, where we spent time on the Mediterranean coast

Highlights: Daily swims in the Mediterranean, an Italian lunch in Menton, taking the train along the coast, our art deco Nice apartment, exploring the Musée Picasso followed by a seafood lunch in Antibes, the most stunning sunset from our apartment on our final night

Last stop, the French Alps and Mont-Blanc

Highlights: Hiking in the French Alps, the views of Mont-Blanc, swimming in cold mountain rivers, exploring waterfalls, soaking in Nordic baths with views of the mountains, spotting ibex and marmots, quiche and croissants from Le Petit Boulanger De Montagne
